D.R. Hooker is one of the rarest, and certainly, among the most essential US private pressing Psych LPs out there. There are many private pressing records that command attention, but few are as stunningly well crafted from start to finish as "The Truth" (many people have said that this is one of the private pressings that even your non-collector friends can appreciate). With a voice that almost sounds like a cross between Lou Reed & Rod Argent (maybe even a hint of Iggy attitude), excellent psychedelic arrangements & soundscapes, far out lyrics, and still, the most striking thing about "The Truth" is the undeniably solid songwriting. Also appearing here are bonus tracks from the never released second LP, "Armageddon" - Enjoy.
