Wired Magazine Feature on stands and online NOW

The February issue of Wired Magazine (w/ Sarah Silverman on the cover) printed a really cool Anthology feature titled: Vinyl Frontier: Left-for-Dead Music Is Resurrected for the Digital Age. Please go out and pick up a copy - the magazine is worth it for many other reasons. If not, you can also see the piece online.

The best quote in the wired article was from Sir Lord Baltimore's John Garner --- "I've been making music for 30 years," says John Garner of the pioneering heavy metal band Sir Lord Baltimore. "And I recently got my FIRST ROYALTY CHECK EVER — it was from Anthology." CLAZZIK......

saw the article and that's why i'm here. LOVE this site!

i saw the article too and that's why i'm here. while i am very glad someone is doing this (320kbps/DRM free), i still don't understand why i should pay $10 for an album when there are no overhead costs. i can spend the same $10 (maybe a couple of bucks more) and get the CD. i'm hoping that competition will bring prices down a bit. i don't see why an album download should cost any more than 6 or 7 bucks.

Article brought me here as well. I'm always in the mood for the obscure and the great. Glad I found the article...glad I'm here. I've already discovered unexplored corners of the music-verse.

@ spaceboy5367 - You won't be able to get a a lot of these bands on CD anywhere.you can't even get the CD for sir lord baltimore on amazon. That's what makes this site so sick. PEACE>>>

Egyptianmusk, I agree. I don't even know most of these bands until I hear about them on this site. Kmart doesn't have cardboard promos for em, nor would iTunes ever place anything this cool on their front page.

I saw this once before, but check this out. African Head Charge - off the beaten track for $56.00 on Amazon!!! http://www.amazon.com/Beaten-Track-African-Head-Charge/dp/B000009N0B/ref=m_art_pr_8

Howdy... wired, etc. How come I cannot find Space Art: Onyx? Would have bought that immediately.

Hey All - Space Art will be available early next week - apologies, we had a hang up with the source. It'll be here soon! Thanks for the patience....

I'm interested in purchasing Space Art, however, the Checkout page is not https:// and I will not send my credit card data over an unsecured ordering page... When will the ordering page be fixed so that I and others can order safely? Thanks, Kevin
